Well, it’s just about that time again. I don’t know about you, but I am a firm believer in having a stocking no matter what age you are. In fact, this year, I have convinced my parents to just do stockings! They are so fun and there are no rules to what you can get. I think that kids and make up lovers have enough gift guides out there, but for the guys, teens, moms, grandpas and so on, here’s a bit of a list in case you’re stumped!
Chapstick. Winter is the time you will get dry lips. As I am sure you know, there are thousands of options in this category, but I highly recommend the Lippy Girl Lip Love Lip Conditioner which is made of natural ingredients & no animal testing! Plus it smells minty!
Body lotion. Again, it’s a dry time of year! This is totally skin-type dependent, but going with a holiday scent would make this a fun gift. If you have any suggestions, leave them below! I use mainly unscented or lightly scented products but haven’t found my holy grail lotion yet.
Gift cards. Some people think they are a bit of a cop out, but I love having gift cards for things like Starbucks or Tim Hortons. Even a $5 card will get you a few drinks or a snack! Plus, I have heard the argument that it is really impersonal but if I got a $50 Sephora card, I would say that person knows me pretty well!
Face masks. I don’t think I need to rave any more about the Montagne Jeunesse Single Use masques, but I will anyways. They are luxurious and so much fun. You can get a variety of these handy masks for a great price and there is something for everyone (men included)! Plus FarleyCo will send you a free masque with purchase until Dec 31st 2014!
Car fresheners. Obviously, this doesn’t apply if you’re putting a stocking together for someone without a drivers licence or car like myself, but Bath and Body Works has the cutest little car air fresheners holders and you can fill the stocking with a million different scents to go with it. Easy peasy.
Candles. Again, B&BW sell mini candles that are stocking size (and price) which are perfect for a bathroom or end table. You can buy them throughout the year if you want a variety of scents or their winter scents are out now. Plus – and maybe this is just me – they are the most adorable little things I’ve ever seen!
Picture frames + picture. The options are limitless. It can be really personal or just beautiful, and like I said, it doesn’t have to be crazy! This picture frame goes on my fridge which I love and it was very inexpensive. If you’re a little bit crafty, you can even make the picture frame using things around your home too! Also a great craft if you have kids.
Perfume. This might sound like an expensive gift but if you think back to my Demeter Fragrance post, you may remember they sell mini 3mL scents for under $5! You can try a wide variety of scents at a great price.
Specialty drinks. If you know me, you know I am constantly drinking. I am always thirsty and no drink goes to waste (except maybe tomato or carrot juice). From Monster Energy Drinks to Starbucks Frappicinos to Crystal Light to tea, whatever the recipient likes the best.
What are you looking for in your stocking? I know my three favourites are the fluffy socks, mini products and nail polish!
Til next time, ttfn x
