Feelin’ Blue

My make up motto is that a little colour never hurts. Earlier this year, blue eyeliner became pretty popular which reminded me to take a look through what I have and play around. I found some golds, purples, greens, pinks and, of course, a couple of stunning blues sitting in my collection of eye liners. I don’t think anyone could argue that whether you’re going for full on rainbow or a subtle smokey eye, adding some eyeliner boosts your look.

I have always been a little bit nervous about blue on the eyes because, let’s face it, it can get pretty tacky pretty quick. That’s where blue eyeliner really shines. It is much harder to go overboard and is subtle enough to go with just about anything. Like I said, it is that little pop of colour that never hurts.

There are different eyeliners for every need so I have taken four: a pencil, a glitter, a dark blue and a light blue, all of which I love and have served me well.

First up, a pencil liner from MUFE Aqua Eyes which is fantastic in the water line. Many other brands do similar colours but the MUFE liners are water proof which I always need. Actually, I used it quite recently as you can see on my Instagram.

For a glittery option, I have this Sephora Collection eyeliner (no longer available) which came in a set during Christmas. This is a light Aqua colour that is both beautifully pigmented while still being quite glittery.

As a light aqua option, there is this GOSH Intense Eyeliner Pen. This being my first blue eyeliner, I have used it over and over and can say confidently it does not budge. The staying power for this product is totally unreal and the pen-like felt tip makes it fool-proof to apply. Available at Shoppers.

Lastly, the perfect royal blue that came in an ipsy bag quite some time ago. The Chella eye liner pen in Indigo Blue has a super fine tip making it perfect for a intense wing or something a little more subtle. It is deep enough to be subtle but blue enough to make a statement. It’s beautiful!

What eye liner colours do you own (other than black)? They are so much fun to play around with.

Til next time, ttfn x
