It’s that time of year again! Shark Week has become a pretty big deal. So much so that bloggers are joining in with some Shark Week inspired beauty. Today, I am here with a little drugstore make up tutorial inspired by the big and beautiful creatures.
Apply a white base (NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk) and blend out. To set, I used a white shadow (Maybelline single in Vanilla) in the inner corner. With Maybelline the Smokes palette, I blended the grey blue shadow in the outer corner and crease, then the grey with a lighter hand on top before using the darker, glittery grey in the outer corner. In the inner corner for a pop of red, I used Colourpop’s Eye Shadow in Erotic. My mascara is Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume Flash mascara.
With even more Maybelline, I use the Green Cover Stick to reduce redness. As a foundation, the L’Oreal True Match in W2 and a bit of the Hard Candy Heavy Duty Concealer (not pictured, oops) in light around my eyes. As usual, my eyebrows are Annabelle Skinnybrow pencil in Universal Medium.
To highlight, I have the NYX Mosaic highlight on my cheekbones, chin and forehead. My blush is a fave: the Physicians Formula Nude blush and I felt it was only fitting to use NYC Expert Lipstick in Pure Coral – another favourite of mine – on the lips.
This look would be good for the Fourth of July too! Let me know if you enjoyed this tutorial. Happy Shark Week!
Til next time, ttfn x
