First Impression: Annabelle Brows and Smokey Nudes Palette

Brows are a big deal. It seems like all of a sudden, eyebrows are at the forefront of make up. If they are done right or not done at all, they can make or break a look. I personally love the Annabelle Skinny Brow pencil in Universal Medium because it fits all of my brow needs, however, when Annabelle launched many more brow products to choose from, I really wanted to give them a try! Along with new brow products, there were several eye liners and a beautiful Smokey Nude palette that were also released and I was lucky enough to be sent them to review and share.

Of course, I had to try out the beautiful Smokey Nudes palette** first. This 10 shadow palette has a mix of warm and cool neutrals most of which have some kind of sparkle or sheen. I love the consistency of these eye shadows and think the finish was totally beautiful. The shimmer is actually perfect. I used the middle 3 shades in the bottom row in this look and the first shadow in the top row but the one I love the most is the deep brown with the small redy-gold glitter in it. Though the glitter doesn’t come off as intensely on the eye as it does in the pan, I loved how blendable it was.

I tried out two new Annabelle Stay Sharp Metallic eye liners**. On the bottom lash line, I am wearing Snow White which doesn’t seem metallic to me at all, but it did stay all day which is way better than some other liners I have used on my waterline. On the top lash line, I put the Annabelle Stay Sharp Metallic liner in Bronzey which has the tiniest bit of metallic shine to it but since the tip is always sharp, I find it so much easier to use than other brown eye liners I own.

Of all of these products, I was most excited about the Annabelle Brow Show pencil and highlighter in light to medium**. This is a double ended jumbo pencil with a medium brown brow colour on one side and a light peach shimmery highlighter on the other side. I didn’t expect the highlight to be quite so glittery and as someone who never highlights their brow bone, I don’t really have a comparison for this. I liked the overall look and the actual brow pencil side was alright. I do prefer the Skinny brow pencil because the tip is quite fine. I don’t always highlight my brow bone, but I may play around with doing so more now as I think it turned out pretty lovely.

Here is the overall look and everything I used (except for the lip colour which was a NYX Butter Gloss). I feel like it is a really fresh look and easy for any make up wearer to achieve. I plan on busting out one of the two Annabelle Eyeink2 Liquid Liners** shortly to play around with. If it is anything like the Marcelle Liquid Liners I have used, I will certainly love it!

Til next time, ttfn x
