Maybelline Products Worth Buying

Hey all! I have done similar posts like this before with other brands but this time, it’s a little more special. Krystal-Marie from embraceandignite.blogspot.ca and I decided to do a round up of our fave Maybelline products to share with you just before the holidays. Krystal-Marie is first and foremost extremely sweet and friendly but she also happens to be a fellow Canadian Beauty Blogger out of Nova Scotia. I have been following her for quite some time on Twitter, Instagram and Bloglovin’ and so when the chance came to potentially collab, I was very interested! Her blog includes SO many helpful blogging tips as well as beauty picks like this so if you want to go take a look, click away!

As for this post, you will definitely notice a theme in the products I have liked from Maybelline (or at least, I did). I actually have a whole list of products I still want to try from Maybelline but haven’t quite gotten to so if something is missing from this list, that could be the reason. None-the-less, I thought it would be interesting to read about my faves from this brand and I would love to know yours as well!

maybelline the blushed nudes and the smokes palettes

Starting off with the product I use the most we have the Maybelline Smokes and Maybelline Blushed Nudes eye shadow palettes. I believe both have been some awesome new drugstore shadow options from 2015 (or perhaps late 2014). I get much more use out of the Maybelline Smokes palette as perhaps you have seen here or here, but both are stunning in their colour selection and have very buildable colour. Keep an eye out for a swatch type post coming soon!

maybelline colour tattoo metal inked in pink
Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Inked in Pink was actually a total YouTube-Made-Me-Buy-It purchase. When the UD Naked 3 and Maybelline Blushed Nudes came out, it seemed like everyone paired the shadows with this cream base. Every time I saw it, I was totally floored by the finished look that I had to have it. It just looked stunning together so before the Blushed Nudes were even available in Canada, I snatched this up. I do use this with a primer but it stays pretty well on its own. It is a metallic pink, need I say more?

The Maybelline Color Whisper lipsticks in Berry Ready and Lust for Blush were favourites of mine before I started blogging. They provide a lovely wash of colour that is thin feeling on the lips and totally lovely looking. They are buildable as well for a mildly glossy look.

Finally, the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin and Plum Wine are beautiful cream blushes. They are very easy to work with and last pretty well on even the oiliest of girls (like myself). I am really into cream blushes and these are one of my faves. They have many gorgeous shades but these two are all I have thus far.

maybelline pink products

From looking at the swatches, you may notice how totally wearable these Maybelline products are. I think that’s where the brand shines the most. They are wearable and very affordable but can be built up or combined for a more intense look. That makes them a little more useful in my opinion. They may not be overly bold, but they are absolutely beautiful.

Check out Krystal’s Maybelline faves over on her blog! She has a much bigger Maybelline collection than I and can tell you what works and doesn’t. If you have some faves, let me know what I might be missing.

Til next time, ttfn x
