Spring Flings 2017

Yes, I am super late to the game on this one (as it is now officially summer) but I thought it was worth sharing anyway. Things have been busy over here between helping with my cousin’s wedding, big changes at work, and enjoying the beautiful weather. That being said, this Spring seems to have really made me fall back in love with make up, nails, and blogging, so I have a few of my absolute favourites to talk about today.

Spring-fling-All

NYX Liquid Suede in Stone Fox
I have been having a hard time getting out of the winter dark lipstick trend, have you? I have mainly been reaching for cool toned shades whether it is a deep purple hue or this gorgeous grey from NYX. These do transfer, which is the only bummer, but the formula is comfortable and is still flattering as it wears away. I find this easy to apply and reapply on-the-go despite it being a darker shade. All in all, this unique shade is amazing and I recommend it if you ‘re into funkier lipsticks.

Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette
I have been going pretty light and neutral on the eyes lately and so this is my go-to palette hands down. These Kat Von D shadows are pigmented, blendable and powdery which is exactly what I look for in an eye shadow. Though these are natural, neutral nudes, there is still a heap of variety in this palette which makes it fun and inspiring. Even when I am feeling like a pop of colour, I can use this palette as a base before going for one of my colourful palettes or single shadows. It pretty much goes with anything.

Spring-fling-1

Beyond the Nail Polish in Supernova with Starrily Menchie the Cat Nail Polish
I am currently all about holographic nails and so this combination gives me so much life. The pink hues work well together and depending on the lighting, you have a lovely rainbow glow that lasts. Both polishes easy to apply with a smooth formula and are cruelty-free so I recommend trying them out if you haven’t already.

Nars Radient Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
I don’t think I need to go on about this concealer as I have before just like so many others. This concealer just makes your undereye area look smooth and bright while being comfortable and (relatively) creaseless. Although this has definitely been in favourites before, I thought I would mention a little hack that I had learned that is quick and easy to get more from your product. I recommend only doing this when you’re running low on concealer, but when the time comes, remove the little device that removes excess product from your brush. It can easily be removed with tweezers and allows you to dig for more product along the sides.

The Honest Company Deodorant in Bergamot Sage
My new favourite deodorant: the Spray On deodorant. If you haven’t tried a spray deodorant, I recommend it. This one from The Honest Company in particular lasts all day without the feeling of product on your pits. It is lightweight with a bit of an earthy scent (as it is bergamot sage) and it lasts for quite a while. It is natural and cruelty free without the use of coconut oil (which breaks me out and is also in many natural stick deodorants).

ecotools muslin Polishing Cloths
Special mention, though it isn’t pictured here, are the Ecotools Muslin Polishing cloths. These are the gentlest way I have found to wash my face. I plan write an entire post about the various ways I use these to save time, money and being less wasteful (so stay tuned) but they are all I plan to use from now on to clean my skin.

#MOTD: Something Old, Something New

And no, this isn’t another wedding post.

Inspired by Beauty With Emily Fox on YouTube, I took a look through my old favourites from the past few years that I have been blogging and put them to the test to see what I still liked and what was just a phase. Where does the ‘something new’ come in? I had to fill in the gaps with some of my current favourites from my collection. Enjoy!

Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer Original (January 2016)

This primer is still as lovely as ever. I wouldn’t say it is my number 1 primer as I do find that my skin can look a little dry and my pores are still a little bit visible, but I have kept it because I love how it feels on the skin.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation in 110 Porcelain (January 2016)

My favourite thing about this foundation is the colour match. Other than that, I wouldn’t say this is gives me either a matte or poreless finish and it doesn’t feel great on my skin. I no longer support the company as it isn’t cruelty-free but regardless, I am not in love with this product anymore.

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer (February/March 2015 and again in October 2015)

For inexpensive and full coverage, I don’t think you can beat this. It does separate a little and the packaging isn’t ideal, but I do like how this looks under the eyes.

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Glow (August 2015)

This was my wedding day blush so you know it is still my number 1. I love how this blush gives life to my skin with a bit of a glow without the oil slick. I prefer cream blushes and find that this one is one of the more pigmented with fantastic staying power.

elf HD Undereye Setting Powder and Tone Correcting Powder (CURRENT)

I am blown away that I haven’t raved about these two inexpensive, cruelty-free powders. I rarely will use anything else. They both set my make up well without oxidizing or drying out my skin. They are easy to use and apply, and keep my oily skin under control. I do need to touch up through the day (I use blotting papers to do so) but these look and feel so good.

Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighter (July 2015)

That glow though. I still love this highlighter. It has a gorgeous, healthy shine to it while being a good balance of natural and glamourous.

Annabelle Skinny Brow Liner in Universal Medium (pictured is Universal Taupe – January 2016)

This is my go-to and it is drugstore. I am constantly using these up and repurchasing them. If there is one item you try from this post, it should be this.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance (February/March 2015)

This is another product that I use every day and have multiple backups of. It is my favourite eye primer because of how smooth it feels on the lids and how beautifully pigment sticks to it.

March Jacobs Twinkle Pop in Honey Bunny (February/March 2015 and again in December 2015)

This isn’t quite an every day product for me, but when I need a pop of glossy, glittery shine, this is the only thing I reach for. I set this with a few shades in the ABH MR palette (next) here but the cream shadow still shines through. It is simply gorgeous.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette (Fall 2016)

Who doesn’t love this palette? It has so many warm tones, a good variety of colour and neutrals, and the formula is simply one of the best.

Annabelle Stay Sharp Metallic eyeliner in Bronzy (September 2015)

This entire range of Stay Sharp products from Annabelle are 100% worth checking out. I have loved everything I have tried. This particular shade is my favourite because it works so well with my eye colour, but they all stay put and are easy to apply.

Marcelle Double Precision Liquid Liner (CURRENT)

I forgot how much I am in love with this matte, drugstore liner. It is easy to apply and pigmented. I don’t know how I haven’t mentioned this one before either because it has been a favourite since highschool.

Buxom Lash Mascara (CURRENT)

This is a super dark, lengthening mascara that doesn’t disappoint. If you are not a fan of the Too Faced BTS mascara because it is clumpy, here is your not-so-clumpy dupe (to clarify, I do love them both).

Bite High Pigment Pencil in Madeira (May 2015)

This shade isn’t available but I am sure Bite has a similar shade in their permanent collection. Bite specializes in lip products so of course, they are amazing. The one and only issue I have is the wear time but honestly, they feel so lovely to apply that I don’t mind.

Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip Gloss in D16 (January 2015)

This lip gloss line is no longer available but luckily, I have found a new favourite that is pretty similar and there is no surprise, it is from Bite. The Bite Lush Fruit Lip Gloss line is the same thick and glossy shine that lasts which is what I loved about the MUFE gloss.

I hope you enjoyed this blast from the past – I know I did! Let me know which ones you’ve tried.

Five Fall Favourites 2016

We’re starting slow.
I’m here with some of my fall favourites after a long winded absence. I hope you didn’t miss me too much. While I’ve been gone, I got married, we bought a car, and I took the chance to organize my life a little bit. It was a stressful few months but happy none-the-less. Though I did slow down on buying and even wearing make up, skin care and nail polish, I was able to find some fantastic favourites for autumn.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette

Available at Sephora for $55 CDN.
This 14 shade palette of quality eyeshadows contains a beautiful array of warm shades with a few romantic shades sprinkled in. I have been obsessed with ABH eye shadows for some time now for their pigment, wear time and blend-ability. In fact, I wore them on my wedding day. If you haven’t already given them a try, I would recommend picking up a single or four (a single is only $16 CDN at Sephora) or take the plunge and get a coordinated palette of shadows. I seriously doubt you will regret it.

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick in Drop Dead Red

Available at Sephora for $25 CDN.
I am very impressed by the longevity and strong pigment of these liquid lipsticks. I picked this shade up for autumn/winter since I didn’t have such a deep red in my collection and wanted something that would stay put on my lips. My only issue with this is it does transfer no matter how long I leave it to dry. It does become a beautiful matte on the lips and was not patchy in the least. I am sure I will pick up a few more of these to try during the Sephora sale (coming November).

Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard

No longer available
I received this in a make up swap a few months ago and have been loving it as a warm, golden highlight. At first glance, it doesn’t seem like it would work and would be too dark or colourful on me, but mixed, it is a lovely yellow gold highlight that is light enough for my pale skin. It’s huge, it’s inexpensive, and it’s just the right amount of highlight on the cheekbones. If you can get your hands on these highlighters, I would recommend picking one up.

Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Bamboo Charcoal Deodorant in Cold Pressed Rose

Available at Kaia Naturals for $21
I will start off by saying this isn’t perfect. Does it withstand summer sweat? Not entirely. Is it inexpensive? No. However, the most noticable benefit to this deodorant so far is it is helping with the discolouration on my arm pits. The deodorant is also aluminum free, vegan and 99% natural. I have also been breakout free since using this deodorant which tends to be a theme amount natural deodorant. Though I wish it was less expensive, I am pretty pleased with it so far.

Lush Shampoo Bar in Jumping Juniper

Available at Lush for $10.95
While perusing the Lush store in my city, I came across the Shampoo Bars. These convenient little suckers have no packaging, making it a little more environmentally friendly, lather up extraordinarily well, and smell great. They seem to last quite a few washes which was my top concern when purchasing it. My hair always feel clean after using this and I can typically last three days oil-free.

Those are the 5 products I’ve been enjoying the most this autumn. What have your favourites been?

#Finish5 for June 2016

It’s been another month and I am happy to report that I was able to finish up 3 of the 5 products! I am very excited by how fast I am flying through some of these products because it just means that I get to. Try even more products out for you guys. I hope you’re excited about it too.

The two products I didn’t finish are definitely on their last legs. The Smashbox Photofinish Primer is one of my favourites and only has a few days worth of product left. I have been opting out of wearing primer this week since I have found a BB cream I have been loving, but I am sure this will be in my Spring empties post (coming soon)!

I have been using the Rimmel Borw This Way in blonde for just about a year now. It is easily the quickest and easiest way to do my brows since it provides a lot of coverage and keeps the brows in place. This is very close to being empty but I think I still may have a month to go with this product.

It seems that I am quite good at using up my sample sized products. I was able to finish up the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel which incidentally wasn’t the product I planned to use up. Initially, I wanted to use up the toner from this line but the day after posting my #Finish5 for May, I spilled the toner all over the sink. Luckily, this cleanser was comparable in size and I was still able to finish. Both the cleanser and toner didn’t really impress me. I am in love with the Vichy Normaderm Night Detox as you may know so I did have pretty high hopes. They worked but they were no where near the miracle product that the night cream is.

Another product from Vichy would be the Vichy Idealia BB Cream in light. I don’t know if it was this shade or what but I noticed it seemed to really bring out my freckles and dark spots. It didn’t provide much coverage and also felt very cakey with a powder on top. That being said, I did like how light and moisturizing it was when worn by itself. I would wear this on no-make up make up days or if I was heading to the beach for example. It’s not perfect and if I were to recommend an alternative, I would say the Derma E BB Cream works just that much better.

As for the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing mask with Rose Clay, I did really enjoy this. It was a light exfoliating mask that seemed to help draw out oil and dirt as well as exfoliate. I feel it is worth a try if you haven’t already.

This month, I am focusing on all the major categories: face, eyes, skin, hair and nails. I hope to finish up the Herbal Essences Wild Naturals shampoo and conditioner duo and the Fresh Rose Face Mask. These two are sample sizes and running on empty. The remaining three products are full sized but I think I can make a rather large dent. The Rimmel Scandaleyes eye liner in Nude will be the biggest challenge. The Covergirl Trublend concealer in Light is about half way gone but I love using it on my under eyes as an initial concealer. I am on a bit of a nail art and nail wrap kick right now so before these Sally Hansen nail wraps no longer stick, I want to see if I can get a few wears out of them.

Wish me luck! I have been thinking about switching this #Finish5 post around and simply pick 5-10 products I plan to focus on using that month. Which format do you prefer?

Skincare & More Haul 2016

First of all, I am so sad to report I broke my streak of buying only cruelty-free products. I don’t know what lead me to believe Bath and Body Works was a cf company but upon my research today, I see that they in fact do sell in China and test when required by law. Sad news and a silly mistake on my part, but regardless, I thought I would show you what I did get at the semi-annual sale.

Bath and Body Works was my go to candle store. Their scents are very fragrant and the candles seriously last. However, this time, I did end up picking up a few more products that I don’t usually buy. First off, we did grab two candles of the same scent. This is the Honolulu Sun candle which literally smells like sunscreen and the beach. It is exactly what I want out of a summer candle and since it was on sale for only $11.50, why not grab two?

I also needed a new hand sanitizer for work and with the 3 for $5 sale, I figured I would grab a few here. I ended up grabbing my favourite scent ever, the Black Cherry Merlot, as well as the Sparkling Limoncello and Noir for men which I know might be odd but it smells like their Black Tie candle which is another fave of mine.

The final 5 things we grabbed I’ve never had before but both Ashlee from Making Up Ashlee and Samantha from Samantha Jane had picked up a few Wallflowers in their hauls so I figured it might be worth a try. Here are the Wall Flowers in the scent Honolulu Sun, Bow Ties and Bourboon, Cucumber Melon and White Sand Beaches. With that, there was one Bunny Wallflower plug in on sale for $5 so we grabbed that too.

If you follow me on snapchat (newkeybeauty), you know I also went for my very first facial at the Truth Beauty Company on Friday. I will have a whole blog post about that coming this week but I did also pick up a few things. You may recall from the Battle of the Brands post I did between Tom’s of Maine and Crystal Deodorant that neither were all that good on days where you might be going the extra mile and sweating your butt off. Liz from Stay Gorgeous LC recommended an alternative in the Schmidts Natural Deodorant in Bergamot + Lime. I was initially avoiding it because it contains coconut oil which tends to break me out but after a bit more research, I figure it is worth a try anyway.

I also noticed they had Hurraw lip balms at the Truth Beauty Company and hearing so much about it from Shannon of Shaaanxo, I decided to pick one up in Earl Grey. This smells AH-MAY-ZIN and works like a dream so hopefully, I can pick up the full line soon. Yes, it feels that nice.

I also grabbed a product that Meg, the facialist used on me as a serum/moisturizer. This is the Pretty Rose and Citrus Purifying Facial Serum which I am planning to use as a cf replacement for my beloved Vichy Normaderm Night Detox. This is supposed to help with oil control while still keeping my skin moisturized and so far so good! I will be testing it for a few days to make sure I don’t break out but if you would like to see a review, let me know!

Full disclosure: I was also sent a few bits of skin care from Nip+Fab and Real Chemistry which I plan to review for you guys. I am honestly so excited to try the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads** which I suspect might be a bit of a dupe for the Dr Dennis Gross peel I used about a week ago. Already a pro for this product is that it smells amazing (like grapefruit). I will keep you updated for sure.

I also have two bits from the Dragons Blood range which first off, sounds very intense, but also is supposed to help with brightening, plumping and hydrating the skin. Here I have the Nip+Fab Skin Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum** and Nip+Fab Skin Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask**. Nip+ Fab is cruelty free and can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart!

The two products I received from Real Chemistry are peels: one for body and one for face. These are NOT masks, but more like a scrub to help reveal softer, brighter and smoother skin. These are the Real Chemistry Luminous 3-minute peel** and Real Chemistry Luminous 3-minute peel body**. I haven’t really tried anything like this before so I will absolutely let you know how it goes.

Of course, a staple for me is the COLAB Sheer Invisible dry shampoo in Rio which was on sale at Rexall. I again was influenced by Making Up Ashlee and picked up a Flower Beauty Win some, Rouge some cream blush in Pure Petunia. I am a sucker from cream blush and haven’t actually tried anything from Flower beauty before!

As you may have seen in my empties haul a few weeks ago, I ran out of my Reversa Solution for Oily and Acne prone skin** which was fantastic as a toner but I plan to use more for break outs in the future. I also spilled the Vichy Toner I was trying to use up in last months #Finish5 and so I had to pick up another toner. I spotted the Alba Botanica Hawaiian facial Toner which I am so excited to try! Another really exciting find for me was this brush cleaning pad from Danielle Creations. I have already tried this out and it was absolutely worth every cent!

These other two products are actually Roxanne’s but I plan to try them at some point as well. Here is the Skin Blossom Gentle Cleansing Milk and the North American Hemp Co. Smooth Cleanse Smoothing shampoo – both cruelty free and at least 91% organic.

I hope you enjoyed this haul which was very influenced by YouTubers. Let me know what you want to see a review on first. I would love to hear what things you’ve picked up lately.

Even More Trash: Winter 2016

I’m here with Part 2: the make up, nail and hair portion of this Winters trash! If you’re interested in what skin and body care I used up, head over here.

For make up this season, I did a bit of a cleanse and got rid of a few things where not worth the hassle to make it work. I also managed to finish a couple of things. Out of all of this makeup, the only product I plan to repurchase is the Annabelle Skinny Brow Liner in Universal Medium. This is my go to brow product that ends up in ever single empties post. I totally love it and now have it in Universal Light to try out! The products I am tossing are the Benefit Watts Up, Bite Beauty Violet lipstick and MAC Mocha blush. These are all products I could use and muddle around with but it’s more trouble than it’s worth. I have a second Watts Up, the blush doesn’t look or feel right and though I like Bite lipsticks, I don’t have the patience to pull out a lip brush and use the product that’s stuck in the lid or tube.

If you follow my #Finish5 series, you know I’m not a fan of the Benefit Gimmie Brow mainly because I need something with more umph (like the Rimmel Brow This Way). For that reason, this is my first and last tube though I may give the Essense dupe a try. For the elf liner in Brown, it was quite dark and easy to use. Though that’s my favourite kind of applicator, I also really enjoyed the Jesse’s Girl black liner. The reason I don’t plan to repurchase at this point is that the brands are readily available where I am and I have enough liner to last me for months (maybe years). The one product I would repurchase (if only it were a CF brand) would be the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation. This was serious perfection.

You might have seen that I recently decluttered to clean out some of my nail polish but I passed on about 99% of the product that I decluttered from my collection. Here are a few that I did use up. First, a staple in my nail world, the Quo Nail Polish Remover. I pick these up for about $3 (2 for $6) at Shoppers and run through them pretty quick. Also pictured is the Essie Grow Stronger Base Coat which I did like but like many other polishes, it became quite gloopy near the end. The final two here are nail wraps: one from Essie and one from Sally Hansen. Since these company’s are not cf, I will not be picking any more up.

I went through quite a few hair products this season including some amazing Dry Shampoo from COLAB. This is the COLAB Sheer Invisable shampoo in Rio (my favourite scent) and the COLAB Extreme Volume shampoo in Toykio. Dry shampoo and I are taking a break but this is a brand I will be pretty faithful to. The two foil packets in the front are the Drybar Sake Bomb nourishing shampoo and conditioner combo. I may be one of the few people that find “better quality” shampoos are just way too rich for my hair. It becomes so greasy and stringy within a day – sometimes, it doesn’t look like I have washed my hair at all after it dries. For that reason, these just didn’t work for me. I actually typically stay away from typical conditioners except for the Ion Anti-Frizz leave in conditioner here. I have had this for years. I love how it smells and feels. I have a few conditioning products to go through but hope to come back to this soon.

You may have seen my review of the uhaircare Native Mint shampoo and though I like it, I am not too likely to purchase it in the future. If I do happen upon it at Winners again through, I may scoop it up then. The final empty I have here is the KQC Thermal Shine heat protector shine spray. I love this stuff and already have another on the go. It makes my hair feel so healthy and soft without making it feel like there is additional product or anything greasy. I use it even on days I don’t use heat because it just feels so nice. It is available on nailpolishcanada.com for under $15.

We’ve come to an end! I realize it is just about time for a spring empties post (stay tuned! I promise, it won’t be quite so long) but I hope you enjoyed this review.

Taking Out The Trash: Winter Skin Care 2016

I have fallen way behind on empties so far in 2016. I planned to do videos for these instead but that idea kind of fell through so things piled up. I am here today with way too many skin care products that I finished up this Winter (and a little bit into spring). I have decided to split it up between skin care and everything else because I didn’t want this to take an hour to read through. Seriously, I went through a lot so buckle up because this is a long one.

As you can see, I went a little nuts on the masks this season. The first three are your typical masks: 2 retexturizing sample sizes and a full size charcoal mask. The Ren Radiant Renewal mask and Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme mask are pretty similar but I feel like the PRT mask was harsher and had a much heavier fragrance. I wont be picking either up until my mask stash goes down though! The Origins Clear Improvement Activated Charcoal mask isn’t news: this was pretty big at one point when I purchased it but I didn’t actually like it at first. Roxanne and I ended up finishing it and by the end of the tube, I did like it enough to pick up a mini.

My skin has been changing and becoming a tiny bit dryer so this winter, I went wild with hydrating skin care. That’s how I became newly addicted to sheet masks. Here, I have 7 single use masks (6 of which are sheet masks) and every single one of them is different. I have a full review coming in the Face Shop Real Nature sheet masks so stay tuned for that. Of the four there, the clear winner for me was the Lemon Brightening mask. Just a heads up!

The two other sheet masks are from Skin Factory: the orange is moisturizing and the olive green is anti-aging. These two were the most similar of the bunch but I did notice a bit more of a difference with the moisturizing mask. I found these at Winners for $4 and I don’t think I will repurchase.

Finally, there is a 7th Heaven Green Tea peel off mask which I love and have literally used all my life. I really have to pick up some more soon!

The rest of this is a little bit of a mix up of products but we will start with the three sets of make up wipes I used up. The tried and true Life Brand make up wipes are in just about every empties (you can barely see the white package in the picture but they are there). They aren’t perfect but they are easy and inexpensive. Speaking of which, these 5th Ave Fashionista Blueberry make up wipes that I pick up whenever I head to Winners are similar to the Life Brand Wipes. 5th Ave isn’t perfect and they are a little dryer but inexpensive and cruelty free. My favourite but the most expensive are the Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth wipes which smell amazing and work pretty well. I do prefer the Grease Relief cleansing clothes from Ole Henriksen but I use them more as a treatment over basic make up removal.

I used up a few cleansers this season including the Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. I wanted to try a cleanser with benzoyl peroxide and this was the most readily available. I did really love how it made my skin feel. It was refreshing and creamy but I will not be picking this up again since it is not cruelty free. I’m sure you’re getting sick of me saying that! The same goes for the Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Clearing Treatment which was the oddest cleanser I ever tried with a very frigidity pump. It acted like a clay mask and turned into a milky cleanser after adding some water. I actually did a review of this plus the Supermud mask if you’re interested. The Fresh Soy Face Cleanser was such a gentle formula and I already have a second tube being used as we speak. Again, not cf so I will not repurchase.

The rest are all different so I will start with the Face Shop Clean Face Intensive Anti-imperfection patches. If anything, this slowed the healing process for my spots. It would be a good solution if you were afraid of popping a pimple in your sleep or what have you, but otherwise, they didn’t really work for me.

The Lippy Girl Lip Love Lip Conditioning stick is my favourite lip balm ever. Both Roxanne and I use it nightly and it finally ran out! I have already picked up another tube from Nail Polish Canada.

Another product I adore is the Reversa Solution for Oily and Acne Prone skin**. I was so close to finishing this before Christmas but was trying to hold onto it as long as possible before picking up a second tube. This can be used as a toner or a spot treatment that you NEED if you have acne. It works magic and is the only toner I have ever used that gave me real results. Reversa is available at Shoppers and is cruelty free!

The No 7 (Boots?) Overnight Revitilizing Eye Balm didn’t really do it for me. I have yet to find an eye cream I love if I am honest but this was nice while it lasted.

This final product breaks my heart. I fell so hard for the Vichy Normaderm Night Detox moisturizer just over a year ago but now that I am making the switch to cruelty free, I have to say goodbye. I do have a tube or two here that I plan to finish up as I need it but out of every single brand and product that I am saying goodbye to, this one hurts the most.

I really wasn’t sure where to put these bath/body products but I think there is enough skin-care type products that they fit nicely here. We’ll start with the amazing and disgusting Peeling Foot Mask from THE FACE SHOP. This was extremely effective but I am hoping to find a cruelty free version that works just as well. I also have some deodorant that I don’t plan to repurchase but I did love while it lasted. The Dove Men Clean Comfort deodorant formula is so soft compared to, for example, the Lady Speed Stick deodorant also pictured. Also pictured are the Demeter Fragrance in Laundry which was super fresh and the Tony Moly  Banana hand milk which is seriously divine. A tool that I finally have to part ways with is the Revlon tweezers simply because they were starting to get really loose and dull. I strongly prefer the scissor type tweezers because I feel like you can go much faster without making mistakes. I have repurchased a pair.

Back around Christmas,  I also got a set of I Love… bubble baths and the Lush Festive Friends holiday pack. I’m surprised I finished the Chocolate and Oranges scent first since it is not my favourite of the bunch but I have since finished a few more. I have to say, I was a little underwhelmed with the Lush products. They smelled phenomenal but I didn’t really enjoy my bath being so full of product. I guess I could have broken them up a bit more to use them over a series of baths but I think this is my first and last set from Lush. Their face masks have me intrigued though…

If you have made it all the way through, congrats! There is a shorter, make up related empties coming up soon! I hope you enjoyed going through my trash with me!
